Introduction

Hello and welcome to my website- a continual work in progress. I hope it offers a helpful glimpse into my work, who I am and what I do.

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, I am an award-winning production manager and lighting designer working primarily in theatre and events. I grew up in New Zealand and, after finishing school and travelling the world, I moved to Scotland to pursue my studies. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I earned a BA in Production Technology and Management with a specialisation in lighting technology. Alongside my degree, I received two university awards- an unprecedented achievement at the time.

What began as a three-year stint to study in Scotland ignited a love affair. Scotland’s stunning environments, rich culture, world-class theatre and welcoming people has lead me to call Scotland home. Fourteen years on, I’m proud to call Scotland home and credit it as the foundation of my professional journey.

In the years since graduating, I’ve built a diverse career across Scotland with additional projects in the rest of the UK, and further afield- including Russia, China, Japan, Korea, the US, Norway, Romania, Australia and New Zealand. I regularly alternate between roles as production manager and lighting designer, embracing the challenges and joy of both disciplines.

I currently work full-time as Production Manager for Barrowland Ballet, and where possible, I take unpaid leave to pursue freelance opportunities. Staying active across the industry is important to me- not only to sharpen my own skills, but also to connect with emerging talent and maintain longstanding working relationships.

Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me travelling with my partner, our dog or friends- always on the lookout for the next adventure.
